Michael Hamilton 

 

Michael Hamilton established Plum Blossom Clinic in 2000.

Michael Hamilton was born and raised in St.Louis, Missouri. He became interested in Asian culture at a very young age.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas in 1993. He also studied at Kanagawa University, in Hiratsuka, Japan in 1991. After college, Michael worked in St. Louis and Honolulu as a junior architect at various firms.

In 1997, he earned a Master of Oriental Medicine, from the Tai Hsuan Foundation where he went on to teach Daoist Medicine. He has studied qi gong and feng shui at various Daoist monasteries in China. Michael is a registered healer at the Ba Xian Gong Temple in Xian, China. He has conducted a field study of Ayurvedic medicine, Vedic Astrology, and Vastu throughout India and Nepal in 2002.

Michael has practiced acupuncture and taught qi gong at the Honolulu Medical Group. He currently teaches and practices Oriental Medicine at the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ICAOM) located in Honolulu, Hawaii. He also directs several Community Acupuncture Clinics.

He has given lectures and demonstrations to various community groups and health fairs and is the author of several books on Oriental Medicine. He specializes in Daoist Medicine, which consists of meditation (qi gong), acupuncture, herbology, tuina, dietary counseling, martial art, divination (yi jing), astrology, geomancy (feng shui), and palmistry.
